Full Review

Branch launched by asking a straightforward question: why do ergonomic chairs cost so much when most of the price is retail markup? The Branch Ergonomic Chair is the answer — solid ergonomics, quality materials, and a thoughtful design, sold direct at a price that makes the competition look overpriced.

The 4D Armrests

The armrests are the standout feature. Most chairs at this price offer basic height adjustment. Branch’s 4D armrests move in every direction: up and down, in and out, forward and back, and pivot for keyboard and mouse positioning. This level of adjustability is genuinely rare below $400 and makes an immediate difference for shoulder and neck comfort during long sessions.

Lumbar and Back Support

The height-adjustable lumbar support is placed thoughtfully — it’s not too firm and not too soft, and the height range covers the lower back of users from about 5’2” to 6’2”. The mesh back provides good ventilation and conforms reasonably well without the premium flex of a Steelcase LiveBack. For an eight-hour workday, it performs well.

Aesthetics

Branch clearly thought about design alongside function. The chair comes in multiple colors and has a cleaner, more modern look than most ergonomic options in this price range. It won’t look out of place in a well-designed home office the way some gaming chairs might.

Who Should Buy This

Remote workers who need a legitimate ergonomic chair but can’t justify $1,000+ for a Steelcase or Herman Miller. The Branch hits a compelling price point without cutting corners on the adjustments that actually matter. If you sit for six or more hours daily, the 4D armrests alone are worth the price of admission over a basic task chair.
