Ergonomic Workspace Score

How healthy is your desk setup, really? Answer eight quick questions and get a 0–100 ergonomic score plus a prioritised list of fixes — biggest wins first. It takes about a minute and may save you years of neck, back, and wrist trouble.

01 Is the top of your screen at or just below eye level?
02 Are your elbows at roughly 90° with shoulders relaxed when typing?
03 Does your chair support your lower back (lumbar curve)?
04 Are your feet flat on the floor with thighs parallel to it?
05 Do your wrists stay straight (not bent up or down) while typing?
06 Is your screen about an arm’s length (50–70cm) away?
07 Is your workspace well lit with no glare on the screen?
08 Can you alternate posture or take movement breaks through the day?

Answer the questions above to reveal your score.

How the score works

Each of the eight questions targets a factor that ergonomics research links to desk-work strain — screen height, arm angle, lumbar support, seated posture, wrist position, viewing distance, lighting, and movement. Every factor is weighted by how strongly it drives musculoskeletal load (screen height, elbow angle, and back support carry the most weight), and your answers combine into a 0–100 score. Anything short of ideal becomes a recommendation, ordered so the change with the largest payoff sits at the top.

This is a self-assessment to point you at the highest-impact fixes — not a clinical evaluation. If you have persistent pain, see a professional.
