What we like

  • Three pieces cover the essentials: 3-slot letter sorter, pen cup, and open tray
  • Metal mesh is sturdier than the plastic sets at this price
  • Pieces are separate, so you can arrange them to fit your desk
  • Neutral black finish blends into most setups

Could be better

  • Pieces run small — the tray won't hold much beyond sticky notes and clips
  • No memo/note holder despite being a 'complete' set
  • Mesh shows dust and is fiddly to wipe clean

Full Review

The Neomate 3-Piece set is the kind of thing you buy when you’ve just set up a desk and need somewhere to put your pens, mail, and the small pile of clutter that accumulates within a week. It’s not trying to be more than that, and at this price it shouldn’t be.

What You Actually Get

Three separate pieces: a pen cup, a 3-slot letter sorter, and a shallow multi-purpose tray. The slots in the letter sorter are the most useful part — they’re sized for envelopes, a notebook, and a few file folders, which keeps mail off the desk surface. The pen cup is a standard round mesh holder. The tray is the weakest piece; it’s shallow and small, good for paperclips, sticky notes, or a phone, but not much else.

Build Quality

The metal mesh feels a step above the dollar-store plastic organizers you’ll see at the same price. There’s no flex in the letter sorter, and the pieces sit flat without wobbling. The trade-off is that mesh collects dust and lint, and getting it back out means a cloth and some patience. Edges are folded rather than sharp, so no complaints there.

Where It Falls Short

It’s marketed as a “set,” but there’s no memo or note holder — if that’s specifically what you wanted, this isn’t it. Everything also runs a little small. If you have a lot of supplies or want a single organizer that corrals everything, a larger caddy with a drawer (like the Marbrasse mesh organizer) makes more sense and isn’t much more money.

Who Should Buy This

Buy this if you’re outfitting a new desk on a budget and just need the basics off the surface — pens contained, mail sorted, clutter in a tray. It’s a sensible $17 starting point. If you want a single all-in-one organizer with a drawer, or you have a genuinely cluttered desk, skip this and spend a little more on a larger multi-compartment caddy instead.
