The LG 27GP950-B is one of the few monitors that genuinely earns its “dual-use” label. Nano IPS at 98% DCI-P3 means color accuracy is real — not a marketing approximation — and 4K 144Hz means gaming performance keeps up with anything your GPU or console can throw at it.
Image Quality That Earns Its Price
Nano IPS is LG’s premium IPS variant, and the difference over standard IPS is visible. Colors are rich without oversaturation, viewing angles are wide with minimal shift, and the 600-nit peak brightness gives HDR content actual punch. Compared to DisplayHDR 400 panels, the contrast improvement in gaming and HDR video is noticeable. That said, this is still an edge-lit display — OLED and mini-LED panels produce deeper blacks. For productivity and gaming, though, the image quality is hard to fault at this size.
Gaming Performance
At 4K 144Hz, you’ll need a top-tier GPU to consistently hit high frame rates in demanding titles. But pair this with a PS5 or Xbox Series X via HDMI 2.1 and you get native 4K at 120Hz — a feature still uncommon at this price point.
